I agree. I’ll stick around until I’m vested in the pension or 401k, but then all bets are off. I must have been born with a restless gene.

I spent the first 17 years of my working career at one company before making the jump. Granted I started working there when I was 14 (it was legal then) and continued to work there until just a few years ago.

Change can be scary, exciting and sometimes frustrating. Unless you own the company, however, you should never stay at one place for 40 years - in my opinion. My current goal is to ‘get’ a new career once every 5 or 6 years.
