I've had several people in my family live into their 90's, so 78 doesn't seem like a big stretch for me.  I'd rather work a few extra years in order to have my savings last longer.  Besides, I'd just get on my wife's nerves if I was underfoot all the time.  ;-)  It's a matter of choice for each person, depending on their circumstances.  Thanks for the comment.</description>

You get it beginning at age 62 if you so desire it then.
You would need to live to be 78 to equate with someone who drew at 62, if you drew at full retirement age, so for most of us it is a no brainer.
I don't think anyone wants to give me a "certificate" stating I WILL live to see 78?  No, I didn't think so.</description>
